The Institute
Library is a Research Library and as such its materials are not available for borrowing.
The Library is an exclusive professional collection servicing the academic and research
needs of its clientele. It is a closed access and self-serving legal research collection.
The use of the library is open to all admitted members upon completion of the prescribed
application form and submission of necessary documents. All members are issued with
Readers tickets, after payment of the registration fees.

The following categories of persons may be admitted into
the Institute:
Individual membership:
Members
and former members of the Council of the Institute.
Law Teachers
in all Nigerian Universities and the Nigerian Law School.
Teachers in Nigerian Universities other than those included
in Clause (2) above
Research
Fellows of the Institute
Postgraduate
students of law at all Nigerian Universities
Other persons
holding academic or professional legal or other appropriate qualifications.
Corporate
membership:
Firms
of legal Practitioners
Companies
with Legal departments with legal qualified staff
As
at present, 4,246 people have registered with the Institute library.
